Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Brut ‘Quartese’ | Ruggeri
About The Producer
The Ruggeri family has a long tradition of wine production and its Prosecco di Valdobbiadene is one of the finest expressions of this wine. Their range has been put together through years of experience and a great network of growers and this year it was awarded with the coveted tre bicchieri award for the great Giustino Bisol.
About The Wine
Quartese was originally the 4th part of the tax which the landowner collected in produce from the workers; this 4th part of the harvest was handed over to the church and it was customarily collected from the best bunches of grapes. Ruggeri has given the name Quartese to its Prosecco Brut in memory of this ancient custom and to emphasise the care given to choosing the best grapes for its production.
Tasting Notes
Streaked with a persistent perlage of minute bubbles, this is an elegant wine with an appley bouquet on a floral background and a dry, fresh palate with good length and a pleasantly fruity finish.
