Vigne Mastrodomenico is a small wine company based in Barile with vineyards at altitude in the commune of Rapolla. Donato and son Giuseppe produce an Aglianico del Vulture D.O.C. that is gaining recognition year on year for the complexity of flavour and all round quality that their wine displays. About The Wine

100% Aglianico del Vulture hand harvested in early October from eight hectares of vineyard. The resulting wine spends 8 months in oak before a further 4 months of refinement in bottle.

Tasting Notes

With a broad and complex bouquet, Likos is a richly textured wine with a firm tannic structure. On the palate there is an intense feeling of cherry and berry notes. The aroma is persistent and ends with a lovely note of liquorice. Further bottle ageing will see the wine develop softer tannins and a  more silky texture. Consequently this is a wine that can be cellared for up to 10 years.
