About The Producer

One of the leading Umbrian producers, the Sportoletti family own twenty hectares of vineyards superbly positioned on the hills of Spello and Assisi. The varieties planted range from traditional Grechetto and Sangiovese to the international Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The production is capably run by brothers Remo and Ernesto and the wines, displaying wonderful concentration and elegance, are equally celebrated by traditionalist and modern critics alike.

About The Wine

The Assisi Rosso is a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tasting Note

On the nose the wine exudes ripe red cherries, tobacco and wild herbs which complement a very juicy, round and generally fun wine.
