Abruzzo is located on the Adriatic coast and is an excellent source of good value, easy drinking wine, made in a fruit forward style. Red wines from the Montepulciano grape are packed with ripe fruit and designed to be drunk young. White wines are made from Trebbiano d'Abruzzo or Pecorino and tend to be fresh, aromatic and best consumed within a couple of years of the vintage.
